About

YEU is one of YAKKUM’s (Christian Foundation for Public Health) units that was established in 2001 with mandate on inclusive emergency response including community participation in need assessment and aids distribution. YEU also has mandate to build community resilience through community-led disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. Until 2017, YEU has been facilitating more than 250 villages and partnering with more than 350 community-based organizations across Indonesia. YAKKUM (including YEU) is a member of ACT Alliance, a global network of churches consisting of 139 church-based organizations working in more than 140 countries in the humanitarian assistance, community empowerment, and impartial advocacy for the poor.
