The HISWG is a collaboration of seven ethnic health organisations and multi-ethnic community based organisations. They have been working together since 2002 to strengthen the health system for Eastern Burma/Myanmar, specifically through information/data sharing and management. Their activities include standardization of case definitions, indicators and data collection; analysis of routine and survey data; training of partner staff, raising awareness about the health situation of people in the eastern and western regions of Burma.
