Lapis was founded in Afghanistan 2004 as a part of the MOBY Group. Lapis is a media, education, and strategic communications organization for development and social impact. We’ve done ground-breaking, high-impact work in over two decades across the Middle East, North and East Africa, and South and Central Asia. We’ve created some of the most successful educational programs and social impact campaigns across the region. Our work with leading global partners on gender, political and civic engagement, climate, public health, countering extremism has won awards and changed lives. Native to the region, we combine deep local understanding with comparative experience in how to create positive change in frontier markets and challenging environments.
