The Institute of Studies on Conflicts and Humanitarian Action (IECAH) emerged in the year 2000, as the new millennium appeared, with the purpose of bringing a new perspective to the debates related to the humanitarian and peacebuilding world, in a context of change influenced by the globalization and its many faces. In short, our work focuses on three well-defined areas of specialization: Humanitarian Action (HA), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and Peacebuilding (PB).
