About
Youth Activity Organization was established by a group of energetic people in June 2001 and registered in Iraq as a non governmental organization. YAO aims to build a civilized society through helping the vulnerable groups, crisis management, cascade the peace spirit, peaceful coexistence projects, implementing public services projects in both rural and urban areas as well as the IDPs and refugees camps. Since its establishment YAO has worked with various international, UN agencies and private companies such as UNHCR, WFP, UNDP, IOM, SCI, MERCY CORPS, OCHA, OXFAM, NPA, EXXON MOBIL, WESTERN ZAGROS and US embassy in Iraq. YAO is also involved in mutual projects with international organizations such as GENERATIONS FOR PEACE (GFP) in Jordan and International Peace Youth group (IPYG) in South Korea.
