The United Peace Organization (UPO) is a national non-governmental organization that has been registered with the Humanitarian Aid Commission in Sudan since 2009. It is a humanitarian, non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization. UPO seeks to promote peace and development amongst the communities of Sudan. UPO works in the area of conflict mitigation and reconciliation through capacity building programs and service provision, such as: education and conflict prevention and resolutions (peacebuilding); emergency interventions (food and shelter); food security and livelihoods; health and water; women and youth economic empowerment.
