About

Calais Appeal is a consortium of independent organisations working at the France-UK border, principally in Calais and Grande-Synthe. They are; l’Auberge des Migrants, Calais Food Collective, Project Play, Refugee Women’s Centre, and Utopia 56. Each organisation provides essential aid and/or services to displaced men, women and children stuck at the border. We built this coalition in 2022 in order to be more effective together, prevent the duplication of work, and to find collaborative solutions to common challenges. We collaborate to provide basic shelter, firewood, water, warmth, clothing, food, essential legal information and much more to people seeking safety.
